Minor Injury Crash Results in Arrest

Dearborn County: This morning a minor injury crash resulted in the arrest of one of the drivers. According to Trooper Cameron McCreary, at approximately 8:55 a.m. a 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 61 year old Jack Addison of Moores Hill was westbound on U.S. 50 near Front Street in Lawrenceburg where he drove left of center and struck an eastbound 2013 Volvo (Pepsi truck) driven by 52 year old Dennis Roell of Crothersville, IN. After impact the Chevrolet continued west where it struck a guardrail at the Flyover Bridge. Addison was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. He also exhibited signs of impairment. He was transported to Dearborn County Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and also submitted to a blood draw. After he was released he was transported to the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center where he is being held on a preliminary charge of Operating While Intoxicated (Endangerment). Additional charges could come later after all blood testing has been completed. Roell was not injured.

Trooper McCreary was assisted at the scene by Lawrenceburg Police Department and Lawrenceburg Fire and EMS.

Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
