Supect in Custody after Killing Four People and a Dog

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a quadruple homicide at a residence in the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara.  At just after 11 p.m. last night, August 11, 2014, Sheriff’s deputies responded to the residence located in the 600 block of Walnut Park Lane.  The 46-year-old male suspect was taken into custody without incident.  There are no additional suspects outstanding.  Four victims and a dog were discovered in the home with multiple stab wounds.  The victims were all deceased when deputies arrived on the scene.

 

The names of the victims and the suspect are being withheld at this time until next of kin can be located and notified.  This is an active crime scene and investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
