Parole Fugitive Arrested Outside of Parker City

Losantville – Troopers from the Pendleton District, along with Meth Suppression Troopers, ISP SWAT and State Parole Officers, served a search warrant at a home located at 11336 CR 1000 N, just outside of Losantville, last night around 5:30 p.m. The subject of the warrant, Kevin Myers, age 50, was wanted on a State Parole violation warrant.

Myers had allegedly cut off his home detention monitoring device on Sunday night and was being sought by Indiana Parole authorities for violating his home detention order. Myers had served 25 years for an original charge of Rape, and was to be released from parole and home detention on August 15th.

While troopers didn’t locate Myers at the Losantville address, they did locate a meth lab. That investigation is ongoing with charges pending. The search for Myers led troopers to the home of a relative at 13861 E. Centennial, Parker City, in the early morning hours this morning.

A search warrant was obtained and Myers was found at the home, but refused to surrender. After a four hour standoff Myers was taken into custody around 7 a.m. The investigation is ongoing with Myers currently being held on the Parole Violation, and future charges are probable.

Troopers were assisted in the investigation by State Police SWAT, State Parole Officers, Parker City Police Department, Delaware County Sheriff’s Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and the Randolph County and Delaware County Prosecutor’s Offices.
