Theft Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Gadsden woman is in custody for stealing water without paying for the service, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
Investigator Tyler St. Clair states, “Pamela Denise Slay Gewalt, 44, of Gadsden, is charged with one count of first degree theft of services, which is a felony.”
Gewalt has allegedly stolen more than $4,100 worth of water from the Highland Water Authority over the past two years. The theft of water occurred when Gewalt tapped into a water line without a meter.
She was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $5,000 property bond.
