Forged Instrument Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) An Etowah County woman has been arrested and charged for passing more than $1,600 in forged checks, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
Investigator Tyler St. Clair states, “Sommer Nicole Carter, 31, of Hokes Bluff, is charged with one count of third degree burglary and five counts of possession of a forged instrument, all are felonies.”
Carter allegedly stole a check book from a relative’s residence and passed the forged checks at a local convenience store in Hokes Bluff. She is also currently on Community Corrections.
She is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $15,000 property bond.
