At 10:32 AM on August 11, 2014, the Oakland Police Department and East Bay MUD responded to the 700 block of Kingston Avenue on a report of a water main break. The Oakland Police Department established a safety zone due to cracks and possible sink holes in the street.
We are asking that pedestrian and vehicle traffic avoid the area until further notice.
Currently, the following streets are closed:
- Kingston Avenue and Monte Cresta Avenue
- Monte Cresta Avenue and Kelton Avenue
- Kingston Avenue and Monte Vista Avenue
- Kingston Avenue and Linda Avenue
