Jail inmate (William Scott Cunningham) charged with having phone in cell 
Detective Curtis Stuteville of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged William Scott Cunningham, 50, of Clear Creek Road in Marion, with misdemeanor possession of a telephone by an inmate.
On Thursday, July 31, Stuteville received information that Cunningham had a cell phone in his cell at the McDowell County jail. The phone was located.
Cunningham was being held in the jail on charges of breaking and entering and assault by pointing a gun when the phone was found.
