Modesto, CA – Earlier this year, Deputy Terry Johnson competed in the annual United States Police and Fire Championship Games in San Diego CA. Deputy Johnson competed In multiple Track & Field events including the 200, 400 and 800 meter events and the 4X100 relay, winning 5 gold medals and 2 silver medals. Since 2004, competing in Track & Field events, Deputy Johnson has taken home 37 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 9 bronze medals.

The Western States Police and Fire Games have evolved into the United States Police and Fire Championships and exist to promote sports and physical fitness among the law enforcement and firefighting community throughout the Unite States.

What began in 1967 as the California Police Olympics is continuing to spread its influence across the Country. The entry requirements remain the same with participation limited to full time and retired law enforcement and firefighting personnel, but the United States Police and Fire Championships will be open to all 50 states and United States’ territories.

“I’m very proud of Deputy Johnson”, said Sheriff Adam Christianson. “Terry represents law enforcement in a manner that reflects very highly upon the men and women of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office”.
