On Monday, August 11, 2014, a construction project will begin at the Albany Police Center Station located at 536 Western Avenue. During the course of the project, engineers will be replacing the station’s concrete front steps and will be constructing a permanent handicapped ramp. Due to the scale of the project, the front entrance of the Center Station will be closed.

During the project, a temporary entrance/exit will be built on the Western Avenue side of the police station. An intercom or temporary phone will also be installed so residents will have immediate access to the officer assigned to the Center Station’s front desk. Barricades and signage will also be in place throughout the duration of the project to direct residents to the building’s temporary entrance.

The project is estimated to last for 30 days.
