Full Notification

At approximately 9:30 this morning, Blanchard police received a 911 call regarding a shooting at Gators convenience store at 1235 N.E. 10th, Blanchard. Officers found Gaye Keeler (d.o.b. 10/1/56) dead inside from a gunshot wound. Gaye and her husband, Larry, owned the store. Employees identified Larry as the shooter. Larry left the store after the shooting. Blanchard officers drove to Larry's home at 3094 Misty Lane and detained him for questioning. He was later arrested on a complaint of first degree murder and booked in to the McClain County jail. The couple was going through a divorce. Blanchard PD requested OSBI assistance. Numerous investigative and crime scene agents responded.
