National Night Out Comes to Sun Prairie’s Cannery Square Thursday August 7th, 6-8 pm

Event to be held with Downtown Sun Prairie’s Car Cruise

SUN PRAIRIE, WI – The City of Sun Prairie will once again host its National Night Out celebration on Thursday August 7, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. in Downtown Sun Prairie in Cannery Square (across Main Street from City Hall at 300 E. Main St.). This year’s event will once again feature staff, vehicles, and equipment from a wide array of public safety agencies including:


* Sun Prairie Police Department

* Sun Prairie EMS

* Sun Prairie Volunteer Fire Department

* Sun Prairie Public Works Department

* Sun Prairie Wastewater Department

* Sun Prairie Recreation Department

* Dane County Sheriff’s Office

* Wisconsin State Patrol

* Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR)

* UW Poison Control

* YMCA of Dane County

* …and more!


Target stores will once again have activities for kids. In addition, National Night Out will be one of the last opportunities to participate in this year’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign to provide local kids the school supplies they need for a successful year.


The Sun Prairie Downtown Business Improvement District will once again be hosting their Hot August Nights Classic Car Cruise on Market Street at the same time as National Night Out. The car cruise will feature live music from Elvis Tribute Star Tony Rocker, and food will be available from Market Street Diner and Beans ‘n’ Cream.
