Child Abduction Update
Following a SWAT operation in San Ysidro, California, near the Mexican border, the suspect in this case has been arrested. The child has been recovered and is safe.

On August 3, 2014 at 8:14 p.m., Nayeli Martinez was abducted from Santa Barbara, California, following an incident of domestic violence. Nayeli Martinez is a 6-month old Hispanic female, 26 inches tall and 17 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a white onesie with black polka dots.
The suspect is her father, Joshua Ivan Martinez. Joshua Ivan Martinez is a 28-year old Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 187 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and beard, last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, and green, white, and black DC shoes.
The suspect was last seen driving a 2013 black Ford Focus 4-door with red and white Garcia Auto Sales paper plates. Investigation indicates the suspect and victim may now be in San Diego County and are possibly en route to Mexico.
