The Gold Line Construction Authority has begun prepping the bridge at Second  Avenue and Huntington Drive for removal and replacement.  The actual removal of the bridge is tentatively scheduled to begin on Friday August 8th, which will involve full closures of Huntington Drive at Second Avenue.

In the meantime, there will be lane closures this week and drivers should avoid the area.  The use alternate routes is highly recommended when traveling Eastbound or Westbound through this area of Arcadia.

Drivers using Huntington Drive between Santa Anita and 5th Avenues should expect traffic congestion and delays. 

Consider using the following East/West streets as alternate routes:

Santa Clara Avenue

Colorado Boulevard

Foothill Boulevard

Duarte Road

Consider using the following North/South streets as alternate routes:

Mayflower Avenue

Santa Anita Avenue

Please be patient and allow extra time when commuting.
