SUSPECT: Geffery Stephenson, 19 yrs, transient, San Luis Obispo

On August 3rd at 10:52 p.m. the police Department responded to the area of the Devaul Park on Madonna Road for a report of a stabbing at that location. A victim was located at a picnic table in the park. The suspect had fled towards Devaul Ranch prior to the police arriving. The victim and suspect had been in an argument that led to a physical altercation. The victim was stabbed in the left torso causing a punctured lung. The victim was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital and is in stable condition. The suspect’s cell phone, credit cards, and Cal ID card were located at the crime scene. The San Luis Obispo Police Department is actively seeking Geffery Stephenson for assault with a deadly weapon. Stephenson is reported to be a transient and may have a camp on the Dalidio property.
