Burglary Suspect Arrested - Possibly Associated with Multiple Residential/Vehicle Burglaries in Area

On August 2, 2014 at approximately 2pm, Menlo Park police officers were conducting follow up investigation into recent burglaries that occurred in Menlo Park. Information led officers to the area of Avy Ave and Lucky Ave where a stolen IPad gave off a signal of having been in that area. Officers, following other investigative leads, pulled into the area and saw William Lee Patton exiting a vehicle that was reported stolen to our department on July 23, 2014. Officers quickly detained Patton and recovered the stolen vehicle.

Officers located several stolen items inside the vehicle that was reported to our agency as having been taken during a residential burglary on July 27, 2014. Further investigation revealed there was another location where there were more stolen goods. Officers responded to a residence on the 1000 block of Lucky Avenue and located several more items that were reported stolen during other residential burglaries and vehicle burglaries to include several mountain bikes.

A second subject Gabriela Flower was contacted and is a known associate of Patton. She was found to be in possession of narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia and was arrested. Both William Lee Patton, 22 years old of Atherton, CA and Gabriella Bird Flower, 22 years old of Menlo Park, CA were arrested without incident.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further details can be released at this time. Officers are working to identify all of the stolen property and link them to other Menlo Park police reports, other police agency reports and locating victims.

The Menlo Park Police Department is asking anyone who might have information about this incident to call Menlo Park Police Department at (650) 330-6300 or the Menlo Park Police Anonymous Tip Hotline at (650) 330-6395.
