Burglary/Theft Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) An Etowah County man is in custody for a burglary that took place in 2013, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
Sgt. Jason Argo states, “Robert John David Woods, 34, of Attalla, is charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of second degree theft of property, both are felonies, and one count of third degree criminal mischief, which is a misdemeanor.”
Brans Chapel Church, located in the Sand Valley community, was burglarized in March 2013. Speakers and microphones were taken from the church.
Investigators were able to obtain DNA evidence from the burglary scene. The evidence was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science. The results came back to Woods.
“Woods admitted to the burglary and theft after his arrest,” says Sgt. Argo. Woods was on probation at the time of the break-in.
He is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $5,500 property bond.
