Detectives looking for $4,800 worth of stolen scuba equipment; cash reward offered for information
McDowell County Sheriff’s Office detectives need assistance locating $4,000 worth of scuba gear stolen from an Old Fort residence on Wednesday, July 23.
Russell James Fisher, of Jonas Ridge, reported that someone entered a house on Executive Estates Drive in Old Fort between 6 a.m. and 5:40 p.m. and took a stereo, a TV, sports equipment and a computer monitor with a total value of $1,600. What was unusual, though, is that the culprits stole at least $4,800 worth of scuba gear.
Missing are two Scuba Pro air regulators, two Oceanic dive computers, two dive masks, a female wet suit and a pair of Scuba Pro dive fins similar to the items pictured here.
