Indiana State Police Investigating Switzerland County Robbery

Switzerland County: Indiana State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred earlier today in Switzerland County. According to Trooper Brian Earls, around noon today a white male entered Fisk’s General Store located at 2794 Main St. in Patriot and purchased an item. When the store clerk opened the cash drawer after ringing up the price the suspect grabbed a handful of money from the cash register and ran out the door. The clerk described the suspect as a white male approximately 6’1” with blonde hair wearing a black shirt, white shorts, and multi-colored tennis shoes. Although it isn’t confirmed, investigators believe he may have been driving a red pickup truck (make unknown). The clerk indicated the suspect DID NOT display any weapon. Anyone who may have information regarding the robbery is urged to contact the Indiana State Police, Versailles Post at 812-689-5000. Callers can remain anonymous.
