National Night Out Against Crime-Gilroy

The Gilroy Youth Task Force and the Gilroy Police Department are pleased to announce our participation in National Night Out Against Crime 2014. National Night Out Against Crime is taking place on Tuesday August 5, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Las Animas Park, 400 Mantelli Drive.

Along with the traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, most cities and towns celebrate National Night Out Against Crime with a variety of special citywide and neighborhood events such as block parties, cookouts, parades, festival, visits from local officials and law enforcement, safety fairs, and youth events.

National Night Out Against Crime 2013 invovled over 37.8 million people in 16,242 communities from all 50 states, U. S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide. National Night Out 2014 is expected to be the largest ever.

Gilroy National Night Against Crime will feature the following events, along with the participation of local city and public safety officials. Assemblyman Luis Alejo will also be present to honor a local resident.

• Public Safety Equipment Display

• Raffle
• Gilroy High Football Drills
• Water Balloon Toss Games
