Early Wednesday at 1:30 AM Pomona Police Officer Hornby and Corporal Bostrom were working a special enforcement detail when they encountered a man carrying a loaded handgun. The man was riding his bicycle in the alley near the 300 block of Orchid Lane when officers tried to stop him for a traffic violation. The man tried to ride away,but was captured by the officers. The officers discovered that the man was carrying a stolen loaded handgun. The 36 year old man was arrested and charged for carrying the handgun.
