Chaplain Tom Burton Benefit Ride Scheduled for Saturday, August 9

The first annual Tom Burton Benefit Ride will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2014. The ride registration will start off at Christ Community Church of Hamilton County, 772 N. 10th Street in Noblesville, at 9am. The church will serve breakfast and following that kick stands will go up and the ride will prepare for a 10:30am departure. The ride registration includes the escorted motorcade rider ticket along with breakfast, lunch, and live music at the post ride event!

Proceeds from the ride go to benefit the Sheriff’s Office Chaplaincy Division which is not funded by any government agency but rather relies on donations. The mission of the Chaplain's Division of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is to serve the personnel, the community, and the inmates as a supportive volunteer group of qualified ministers and counselors who will assist, by request, in personal matters, marriage, job or spiritual counseling and to be available to assist in time of emergency, as needed.

Tom Burton served for many years as chaplain for the Sheriff’s Office until his death from cancer earlier this year.
