Indiana State Police Charge Husband with Wife’s 2012 Death
Indianapolis, IN- On Wednesday evening, December 12th, 2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Indiana State Police officers were dispatched to the White River Parkway walking path to the report of a body found.
Officers located the body of a black female, Sherese A. Bingham, 51, 1819 Kessler Blvd. North, Indianapolis on the walking path near the intersection of Limestone and New York Street. The cause of death was listed as a gunshot and a hand gun was discovered at the scene.
The investigation was delayed a short time while two K-9’s near the body were removed by Indianapolis Animal Control. The K-9’s appeared to be “protective” of the decedent and would not let investigative personnel approach. The animals belong to the deceased female.
After nearly a 20 month investigation, Indiana State Police Detectives arrested the victim’s husband at the time of the alleged crime. Yesterday evening, Eugene Bingham, Jr, 53, 1819 Kessler Blvd. North, Indianapolis was charged with one count of murder. Bingham was served the arrest warrant at the Indianapolis District 52 Post. He was transported to the Marion County Processing Center without incident.
