Police and FBI Conducting Joint Investigation in Mid-Day Bank Robbery

Jackson police and the FBI are conducting a joint investigation in a mid-day bank robbery.

At 12:32 p.m., police were called about a bank robbery at Bancorp South, located at 1411 North Highland Avenue. Officers, investigators and FBI Agents responded.

The suspect robbed the bank at gunpoint. There were no injuries to anyone inside. The suspect was described as a black man, 6' 3", 240 pounds and wearing a white cap, lavender shirt, dark-colored vest, dark-colored tie and dark-colored pants.

The suspect was seen leaving in a gray, box-style car with damage to the left- rear side. The car was last seen going east on Forest Ave. from Tucker Street. The car was driven by a second black man.
