Traffic Crash in Cass County
Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on 7/28/2014 at 4:44pm his Office responded to a Personal Injury Traffic Crash on M-62 and California Road , in Silver Creek Township , County of Cass. Jeffery Scott Howe (48 yrs. of Dowagiac) was turning north onto California Road. Ray Paul Brown(47yrs. of Cassopolis ) was traveling east bound M-62 Highway at California Road when Brown fail to stop and rear ended the Howe vehicle. Howe vehicle was struck and rolled over. Howe and his passenger Lisa Marie Howe (43 yrs. of Dowagiac) were transported to Borgess Lee Hospital for their injuries. All persons were wearing safety belts. Alcohol was not a factor.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Dowagiac Police , Cass County Marine Division, Indian Lake Fire and Pride Care Ambulance.
