Riverbank Celebrates National Night Out

Riverbank CA – Riverbank Police Services is pleased to announce that they will once again be participating in the annual ‘National Night Out’ against crime event. This year the event will be held during the evening hours of Tuesday, August 5th, 2014.


Among those in attendance will be: Riverbank Police Services (including Motor Units and K-9 “Rocky”), Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District (Station 36), Target, Petco, SpecOps Live Play, and Oakdale Animal Control (with some animals looking for a new home).


Community members are encouraged to come out and meet the above participants. They will be making stops in local neighborhoods at the below locations:

5:50 PM - Scott and Janet Pettit Remembrance, 3300 Block of Santa Fe Avenue

6:00 PM - 6900 Block of Park Ridge Court

6:00 PM - Castleburg Park

6:30 PM - Lorenzo Zerillo Park

7:00 PM - Crossroads Shopping Center Parking Lot (In front of Petco)

7:00 PM - Heritage Manor Drive

7:30 PM - Creekbend Drive

7:30 PM - 2800 Block of Buckskin Way

8:00 PM - Allegiance Court


Along with the traditional display of outdoor lights and front porch vigils, cities, towns and neighborhoods celebrate National Night Out with a variety of events and activities such as ‘block parties’.


The National Night Out campaign involves emergency service and law enforcement agencies, civic groups, neighborhood organizations, local government officials, local businesses and citizens throughout our community for the purpose of:

-Heightening crime and drug prevention awareness

-Generating support for, and participation in local anti-crime programs such as Neighborhood Watch

-Strengthening neighborhood spirits and police-community partnerships

-Sending a message to criminals letting them know that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
