Tippecanoe County-An early morning semi roll over filled with pineapples has closed the right lane of I-65 north bound at the 174 mile marker (this is one mile south of the State Road 25 Lafayette/Delphi exit).
Preliminary investigation by Troopers Tyler Bentage and Jared McQueary revealed that at approximately 3:09 a.m., this Friday, July 25, 2014, morning a 2012 Freightliner pulling a box trailer, driven by Rodney, Dansler Senior, 44 of Maryland, was north bound in the right lane when he fell asleep. The semi drifted off the roadway and overturned.
Michael Holmes, 46 of Ohio, a co-driver, was asleep in the sleeper when the semi rolled over. The semi was owned by J & R Schugel out of Minnesota and was coming from Pennsylvania to Morris, Illinois. The right lane is closed at this time and the semi trailer will have to be off loaded by hand before it can be up righted.
Holmes was treated and released at the scene and Dansler who was wearing a seat belt was not injured.
