MEDIA ADVISORY - HIT-AND-RUN FATALITY 
INDIANAPOLIS - Hit-and-Run investigators search for a gray or silver 1996 Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable, possibly a station wagon, with front end damage.
On July 22, 2014 after midnight, in the 4000 block of North High School Road Nicholas King,18, of Indianapolis was driving his scooter east on Westheaven Drive, with a juvenile male passenger on the back seat. Nicholas attempted to cross High School Road and drove into the path of a vehicle traveling north on High School Road. The vehicle struck the scooter ejecting Nicholas and the juvenile passenger. Witnesses said the vehicle was traveling at what appeared to be high rate of speed. When Officers arrived they found Nicholas unresponsive and lying on the ground. Nicholas was transported to Eskanzai Hospital in critical condition. The juvenile passenger was not seriously injured and was arrested on an unrelated incident to the crash. Unfortunately investigators were informed that on July 24, 2014 Nicholas had died as result of his injuries. I
Investigators are asking anyone that may have been in the area on July 22, 2014 or knowns the whereabouts of the described vehicle to call investigators.
