Indecent exposure suspect arrested

Ripon Ca. – On 07-24-14 at approximately 7:20 a.m., two young juvenile females were the victims of an indecent exposure by a male suspect on the highway 99 pedestrian over-cross near the Ripon High School. The suspect approached the victims near the east side of the pedestrian over-cross. He reportedly exposed himself to the girls, and then immediately left the area with a black mountain bike. The suspect was last seen walking the bike east, toward Frontage Road.

The suspect was described as being a male adult, 30 to 40 years old, with a short beard or stubble. The suspect was wearing a cap, white t-shirt, and dark shorts. The suspect reportedly has a large tattoo on his right shoulder. Investigators reviewed surveillance camera footage in the area, and patrol officers looked for the suspect thought the day.

At approximately 4:16 p.m. a concerned Ripon citizen called the police department. The caller said she had received a NIXLE electronic notification from the department earlier in the day that described the suspect. The concerned citizen said a suspect matching the description she received, was at the Ripon High School, between several buildings.

Ripon officers immediately responded to the high school. A male matching the description of the indecent exposure suspect was contacted. Eye witnesses were brought to the scene, and physical evidence was located.

Harold Wayne Graves Jr. (47) of Ripon was taken into custody. Graves was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges including (2) counts of indecent exposure, and (2) counts of annoying a child under 18 years old.
