Police Continue the Investigation into Wednesday Night Shooting on Brianfield Cove
Jackson police are continuing the investigation into a shooting on Brianfield Cove.
Around 9 p.m. Wednesday, police received a shots fired call in the area of Brianfield Cv. While officers were responding, they received a second call that a gunshot victim was on Tinkerhill Cv. An ambulance was called and transported a 21-year-old Jackson man to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for a gunshot wound.
The victim told police that he was leaving an apartment on Brianfield Cv. As the victim was walking, a suspect appeared from behind the apartment building and shot the victim for allegedly an unknown reason. The victim then ran east to Tinkerhill and called for help.
The only description of the shooter provided by the victim was a black man.
As of today, the victim remains in the hospital in stable condition.
