Bicknell Shooting – Updated Information
Autopsy Results
Autopsies were performed earlier today on Paul Ryan Russell, 33, of Bruceville and Todd Godare, 48, of Bicknell. According to Indiana State Police detectives, Godare shot and killed Russell at approximately 2:00 yesterday morning during an altercation near Durbin Street and Cherry Street in Bicknell. Godare left the scene driving a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck. At approximately 4:00 yesterday morning, Godare took his own life after he was stopped by Vincennes City Police on SR 61 near Kimmell Road. Detectives believe the .22 caliber revolver recovered yesterday in Godare’s vehicle was also used to kill Russell.

• Victim: Paul Ryan Russell, 33, of Bruceville ( No physical address available)
Cause of Death: Homicide
Manner of Death: Single gunshot wound to his chest
• Suspect: Todd Godare, 48, 403 North Main Street, Apartment 5, Bicknell, IN
Cause of Death: Suicide
Manner of Death: Self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head
