Advisory

2 burglary suspects arrested.

Yesterday (7-23-14) at about 1:00 PM, a resident called the Culver City Police Department and reported a burglary in progress in the 11100 block of Westwood Blvd.  Officers quickly arrived and stopped the suspects as they fled the area in a silver 2014 Chevrolet Equinox SUV.  The suspects were safely taken into without incident. They are described as two male, African Americans in their early twenties; one a resident of Long Beach and the other a resident of Los Angeles.  A significant amount of property was recovered from the suspects’ vehicle and will soon be returned to the rightful owners.

The suspects were later questioned and confessed to two other burglaries in Culver City, and it is believed that they committed at least one additional burglary several weeks ago.

Thanks to the quick thinking and courage of a vigilant resident, and the outstanding work of the officers of the Culver City Police Department, two burglars were safely arrested, several burglaries were solved, and a considerable amount of stolen property was recovered.

This arrest is a shining example of what we can accomplish when our community and police department work together and take a stance against crime.  Remember, if you se something, say something!

We are urging anyone with information on these, or any other burglaries involving the above-described suspects to contact the Culver City Police Department.
