On Wednesday, 7-23-14, at about 11:30 PM, officers were sent to 1223 S Roberts on a reported shooting. Officers located a HM on the southwest corner of the complex with a gunshot wound to his leg. The man was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Investigation revealed a fight broke out in one of the apartments where a party was occurring. The victim attempted to break up the fight when he was shot. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. There is no suspect information available at this time. The victim's injury is not life-threatening and the investigation is ongoing.
