Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a male adult that occurred in the 1300 block of Server Avenue, East Los Angeles, at approximately 11:17 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014.

LASD Homicide detectives have learned that the victim and the suspect were involved in an argument over property, when the argument escalated and turned physical. As the two struggled in the driveway of the residence, the suspect drew a large knife and stabbed the victim in the abdominal area.

The victim, a 50 year-old male Hispanic, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect, a male Hispanic adult, also sustained a stab wound during the altercation. He was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The weapon, a large knife, was recovered at the scene.

NARRATIVE:

The victim, a male adult was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The suspect, a male adult was also transported to a local hospital and his condition is unknown.
