Four Regional Men in Custody for June Robbery

Four regional men identified as suspects in a late June armed robbery are in custody at the Madison County Jail. The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, which is comprised of Jackson police investigators and deputy marshals, arrested two of the four men Tuesday afternoon.

Brent Lambert, 20, of Selmer, was arrested around 1 p.m. in Selmer, and Kevin Lane-Mayse, 20, of Michie, was arrested about an hour later in Savannah.

Both men are scheduled to be arraigned via video link at 8 a.m. Thursday in Jackson City Court on a charge of aggravated robbery.

The two other suspects charged with aggravated robbery, Quadarius Martin and James Daniels III, remain in custody at the Madison County Jail in lieu of bond. Martin, 19, of Jackson, was arrested July 3 and Daniels, 18, of Henry County, was arrested July 15.

Martin and Daniels are scheduled to be in City Court for a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Around 5 a.m. on June 28, officers were called about a robbery. The victim told police that he was in his truck on Bayberry at Skyhaven Drive when he was robbed by a group of men. The victim identified one of the men as an acquaintance, Quadarius Martin.

The victim reported that he was stopped by Martin, and they began to talk. Martin and three other men then pulled him from his truck. The victim was struck in the head with the butt end of a rifle and a beer bottle. The victim was then robbed of money.

The investigation determined that Daniels, Lambert and Lane-Mayse were the other participants in the robbery. Investigators have identified everyone involved and are not searching for any other suspects.
