Tonight, July 23, 2014, from 5:05 – 7:05 p.m., celebrate the 15th Annual Root Beer Float Day with the Oakland A’s! All proceeds raised from Root Beer Float Day will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Greater Bay Area Chapter, the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes research. Over the past 14 years, the A’s have raised nearly $400,000 for JDRF Greater Bay Area through Root Beer Float Day.
As in prior years, Oakland Police officers will join other celebratory ice cream scoopers, including A’s players, coaches, and broadcasters, along with local and national personalities to serve root beer floats in the Eastside Club. Proceeds are raised through the sale of floats, tips given in exchange for autographs and photos with the celebrity scoopers, the sale of autographed mugs, and a silent auction of sports memorabilia. Admission to the Eastside Club is free with your game ticket.
