Drug Bust

On 07/22/2014, at approximately 11:00AM, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Detectives arrested two suspects after they purchased drugs from a resident of an apartment, located in the 2300 block of Heidi Place in Santa Rosa. Detectives arrested Thomas Dewayne Lewis Jr., 31 years old, of Santa Rosa, and Greydon Thompson, 23 years, of Santa Rosa, for Possession of Heroin, Resisting arrest, and driving on a Suspended Driver’s License. Both suspects had suspended driver’s licenses and they both resisted arrest. Both suspects were found with heroin in their possession. Lewis and Thompson were booked at the Sonoma County Jail and bailed out soon afterwards.

At approximately 1:30PM, Detectives served a search warrant at the apartment, located in the 2300 block of Heidi Place in Santa Rosa. Detectives located approximately half ounce of Crystal Methamphetamine and approximately quarter ounce of Heroin. Detectives also located packaging material, scales, and cash, which were all confiscated. Detectives arrested the resident, Michael Nephew, 56 years old, of Santa Rosa, for possession of Heroin for Sales, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and violation of probation. Nephew was on felony probation from a prior drug possession conviction.

While detectives were still on scene at the apartment, a man later identified as Santos Romero-Martinez showed up at the apartment. Romero-Martinez had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court for a traffic ticket. Romero-Martinez was found in possession of over a half pound of black tar heroin and over $800 in cash. Detectives believe Romero-Martinez is a drug runner and he arrived to deliver drugs to the apartment in which detectives were searching. Romero-Martinez, 22 years old, from Mexico, was arrested for his outstanding arrest warrant, Possession of Heroin for Sales, and Transporting of Drugs for Sales.

Michael Nephew was booked into the Sonoma County Jail and he has a no-bail hold due to his probation violation. Santos Romero-Martinez was booked into the Sonoma County Jail and his bail was set at $51,000.
