Press Release: Jewelry Theft Arrest

ACCUSED: Reina Diaz age 36 Long Branch, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On 7/9/14 Officer Cory Cole was dispatched to a residence on Tilton Drive in reference to a jewelry theft. The victim was reporting pair of earrings, valued at over $16,000.00, was taken from her residence. An investigation by Detective Michael Legg revealed that the victim’s house cleaner, Reina Diaz, was responsible for the theft.
Further investigation by Detective Legg revealed that Ms. Diaz was responsible for two additional jewelry thefts from other Wayside homes including a ring valued at $8000.00.
Ms. Diaz was charged with three counts of theft of jewelry and released on a complaint summons to await a future court hearing.
