Please join Assemblymember Shirley N. Weber as she convenes a hearing of the Assembly Select Committee on Higher Education in San Diego County. The hearing will be held in the Chula Vista Council Chambers, 276 Fourth Avenue, on Thursday, July 24, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. In the past two hearings, the Committee has conducted an inventory of public and private post-secondary options available to San Diego residents. Anecdotal and academic information provided that the area may not have enough campuses to meet the growing demand.

The hearing will focus on the status of obtaining a new campus fior the area. Specificially, the hearing will examine the role of the state, local government, post-secondary iinstitutions, industry, and the community in the process.
