Overnight, the Delaware Co. Sheriff's Office requested OSBI investigative and crime scene assistance with a case involving a Grove man who assaulted his brother. At approximately 2 o'clock Sunday morning, deputies responded to a call involving an assault at 37253 S. 610 Road near Grove. Numerous people had gathered at that location to socialize. There, Randy Murry, 54, was assaulted by his brother Gary Murry. Randy was flown to a hospital in Joplin. Gary (d.o.b. 4-29-1962) was arrested for aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon. That deadly weapon was a firearm. It is uncertain at this time what type wounds Randy Murry sustained.
