INCIDENT: DUI and Child Endangerment
LOCATION: Petaluma Blvd. North, Petaluma
INVOLVED: Stacie Loomis 30 year old female from Santa Rosa
SUMMARY: On the listed date and time K-9 Officer Corie Joerger observed a Volvo Station Wagon traveling N/B on Petaluma Blvd. North in excess of 60 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. K-9 Officer Joerger stopped the Volvo on Petaluma Blvd. North south of Industrial Dr. and when she contacted the driver Stacie Loomis she also saw Loomis’ 4 month old son lying face first on the backseat of the vehicle not secured in either of the two car seats which were in the back of the vehicle. Loomis told the officer that she thought the child’s father had secured the child in the car seat prior to her driving away from the father’s home. Loomis also appeared to be possibly under the influence of alcohol. Loomis was placed through an investigation to determine if she was driving under the influence of alcohol. Loomis was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and felony child endangerment. She was booked into Sonoma County Jail on $50,000 bail. The child was released to his father.
