Gold bar scam in Petaluma
On July 17, a female victim was approached by one Hispanic males in front of Kmart in Petaluma. The suspect told the victim they needed money for an injured family member and they wanted to sell her a gold bar that was worth $10,000.00 for only $5,000.00. A second Hispanic male approached and acted like he was interested also and could help the victim verify it was gold. The victim retrieved the funds from her bank and was given a gold colored bar. The bar turned out to be fake. The suspects were described as Hispanic males age 60 and 35. If anyone has any information about this case, contact the police department.
