The Menlo Park Police Department is appreciative of the assistance and vigilance of the community and businesses in helping to reduce crime in the City of Menlo Park. The pictured statistics show the first six months of the year (2014) in comparison to the first six months of last year (2013).
As the statistics show, there has been a significant reduction in crime in the City of Menlo Park, which has been possible by the support of the community and businesses and our proactive officers. Neighborhood watch groups have been forming and partnerships are being strengthened with the dedication and cooperation of the community that we serve.
By educating the community on crime prevention methods and by getting community members and businesses involved in crime prevention activities such as neighborhood and business watch, the Menlo Park Academy, the Chief’s Advisory group, and embracing new technology, we can continue to reduce the number of crimes and improve the quality of life in the City of Menlo Park.
