On Thursday July 17th, at 1:58pm, officers were sent to the 1400 block of N Johnson on a reported shooting. Upon arrival officers located a B/M 17 with a gunshot wound to the chest. According to the victim and two witnesses, they were walking down NE 15th when they heard a pop and the victim felt something strike his chest. The victim suffered a grazing gunshot wound to the chest. They advised officers they did not see anyone or any vehicles nearby when this occurred. Officers were unable to locate any crime scene or other evidence of a shooting. The 17 male was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation
