Second Man Charged in June Robbery

James Daniels, III, 18, of Henry County, was arraigned this morning in Jackson City Court on a charge of aggravated robbery related to a June 28 robbery. Daniels remains in custody at the Madison County Jail on $40,000 bond.

A second man involved, Quadarius Martin, 19, of Jackson, was charged with aggravated robbery and was arrested July 3. He remains in custody at the Madison County Jail on $75,000 bond.

Martin's and Daniels' next court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on July 24 in City Court.

Around 5 a.m. on June 28, officers were called about a robbery. The victim told police that he was in his truck on Bayberry Drive when he was robbed by five men. The victim identified one of the men as an acquaintance, Quadarius Martin.

The victim reported that he was stopped by Martin, and they began to talk. Martin and the other suspects then pulled him from his truck. Martin struck the victim in the head with the butt end of a rifle. The victim was then robbed of money.

Investigators developed information that James Daniels was one of the other participants in the robbery.

Investigators are pursuing leads to identify the three other men involved. They were described as one white man and two black men.
