Tuesday afternoon, the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI to assist with a suspicious death investigation. A man’s body was discovered near Fort Gibson Lake on the south side of the lake near a small outbuilding. The body appears to have been in the elements for several days. OSBI agents do not suspect foul play at this point. An autopsy will determine the man’s identity and cause/manner of death. Currently, officials are working on an assumption of the man’s identity and trying to build a timeline of events leading up to this his death.
