Valencia, Zone 5, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Info. Snapshot for 07/07/2014 to 07/13/2014. New Zone Leader.
Good afternoon, Zone 5 (Valencia). My name is Deputy Brian Heischuber. I am replacing Deputy Yost as your new zone leader for the Valencia area. I have been a Deputy Sheriff for 10 years and have been assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station since 2011. I am very eager to take on this new task as the Zone leader for Valencia and work with the great residents of Valencia. Thank you for your time and I look forward to serving you.
Last week, the following Part 1 crime occurred in Zone 5 (Valencia).
A residential burglary occurred near the 2300 block of Abbey Glen Place. An unknown suspect entered the location through an unlocked sliding porch door and took miscellaneous jewelry, electronics and valuables.
A residential burglary occurred near the 27000 block of Vista Encantada. An unknown suspect entered the location and stole numerous jewelry items. The case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Detective Bureau.
Two vehicle burglaries occurred near the 25300 block of Rye Canyon Road. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and took several miscellaneous personal items. There were signs of forced entry made into the vehicle.
A grand theft auto occurred from the 25900 block of Tournament Road. The vehicle was a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R6 blue in color. The vehicle was recovered a few days later by LAPD Foothill Division.
A grand theft auto occurred from the 25300 block of Rye Canyon Road. The vehicle was stolen from the location and recovered the next day in Burbank by the local police.
A shoplift burglary occurred near the 25800 block of McBean Parkway. A male Hispanic entered the location and concealed numerous items from inside the location and exited the without paying for them. This case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Detective Bureau.
We had four shoplifting burglaries occur near the 26400 block of Town Center Drive. In all four cases the suspects were arrested by Santa Clarita Valley patrol deputies. These cases are currently under active investigation.
As a reminder, please do not leave valuables in plain view in your vehicles. Many incidents can be avoided if you take the time to ensure your vehicles are secure and your property is properly stored. Always double check your windows and doors at night before going to bed. Always remember your safety is number one and keeping your family safe is my number one priority.
