The Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force arrested a Lakeport man and seized approximately four ounces of methamphetamine Tuesday morning.

On July 15, 2014 at approximately 10:00 am, Narcotics detectives were conducting a probation search in Lakeport. While conducting the search detectives noticed a gold Chevy pickup parked on the street. Detectives noticed the vehicle was occupied and contacted the driver, who was identified as 32 year old Kory Daniel Hudson of Lakeport.

While detectives were talking to Hudson, they noticed he was displaying signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. They had Hudson exit the vehicle and perform several tests to determine if he was under the influence, which he failed. Hudson was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. During a search, detectives located two plastic bags containing methamphetamine in Hudson’s possession. The gross weight of both bags was 123.8 grams or 4.36 ounces.

Hudson was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale and transportation of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked. Hudson is currently in custody and his bail is set at $35,000.00

The Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force will continue its efforts to eradicate narcotics from the communities of Lake County and seize the suspected profits of drug trafficking for the asset forfeiture whenever possible.
