Loma Linda Veteran's Hospital- Grand Theft Suspects Identified and Remain at Large

Incident: PC 487 Grand Theft

Suspect(s): Javier Corrales Ledesma 27, resident of Riverside
David Charles Frederick 25, resident of Riverside

Victim(s): Halbert Construction


Summary:
On February 5, 2014 at about 2:00 pm, two suspects drove their pickup truck into the construction zone at the veteran's hospital. The suspects went to a conex storage trailer and stole a Multi Quip jumping jack (ground tamper). As the suspects were loading the tamper into the bed of the truck, the suspects were confronted by the job foreman. The foreman did not recognize the suspects from the job site. The suspects drove off with the tamper. The foreman was able to obtain the license plate to the truck. Through investigation the suspects were identified as Javier Corrales Ledesma and David Charles Frederick.

On March 11, 2014, Ledesma and Frederick were arrested by the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department for an attempt theft from a construction site in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. On May 22, 2014, Frederick was arrested by the Murrieta Police Department for a theft from a construction site in the City of Murrieta.

The report of the incident that occurred at the Veteran's Hospital was completed and forwarded to the District Attorney's Office for review. On July 9, 2014 the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office issued arrest warrants for Ledesma and Frederick for the charge of PC 487, Grand Theft.
