The National Weather Service has advised residents of high impact damaging thunderstorms with flash flooding likely this evening.
Severe thunderstorms are expected to move into the area between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. These storms are likely to be stronger than yesterday with the potential for more extensive and greater damage.
Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour could bring pockets of renewed flash flooding. These storms will force travel delays in some areas and potentially cause road closures.

The risk for strong and severe thunderstorms will diminish after 10 p.m.
