Sunday afternoon (7/13/14), the Adair County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI investigative and crime scene assistance with a homicide investigation in Watts. Just before noon Sunday, a neighbor found Wayne Lee Winterholm, 71, dead inside his home at N. 4735 Road. Trauma to the body indicates Winterholm is a victim of homicide. OSBI agents are working to gather information to determine a timeline of events leading up to Winterholm’s death.
